Footy Finals

After 22 weeks of gruelling matches, Aussie Rules footy is almost at its season end. The preliminaries is over and last week saw the first qualifying & elimination finals matches.Four Victorian teams made it to the top eight along with four interstate teams. But since the Vic teams had to face each other last week, that means only two teams are left for the semifinals this week. The surviving teams, Melbourne Demons and Western Bulldogs will be up against WA’s Fremantle Dockers and West Coast Eagles, respectively. I just hope at least one of them prevails.

If not, there will be no Victorian team on the finals, again. For five years now since Essendon won the premiership in 2000, the champions were from other states. Though by the looks of it, another interstate team could win it again this year.

Anyhow, I’m not losing hope. Melbourne Demons looks stronger this year. So here’s hoping.

Go Demons! Go Doggies! Bring home the bacon!
