So far so good

I had my first annual performance review at work yesterday. I was glad to hear that my boss(es) are happy with me. I have so far exceeded their expectations. I also have positive feedbacks from my peers and all other managers.

The company follows a pay structure which rewards performance. Aside from the basic pay, employees get a bi-annual bonus based on the company’s results. In short, there is profit sharing. Last financial year, we got almost 16% (of annual pay).

If not for the global financial crisis, I would have merited an appreciable pay rise. Next year. Hopefully.
